This week's big news is that we've got some news for you about how out of shape Australians are.

In Australia, $70B of public money is spent in the medical system every year; and the health of Australians is getting worse.

Kids in schools, stuck in classrooms doing sums are becoming tired, bored and fat - a long way from the Man from Snowy River who was 'lean and hard and wiry'.

At the Australian PhysEd Network we've recognised that good health in the community starts with children and youth graduating from school fit and healthy.

Watch this space.

In the meantime stay tuned, highly tuned and remember, not many children every got fitter or healthier in a surgery, a pharmacy or a class room.
