BACK PAIN DIAGNOSTIC APPRAISAL There's an absolute epidemic of low back pain. Around 50% of people in the workforce will give themselves a score of 5/10 or less when asked if they have some sort of musculo-skeletal pain. The bulk of it is personally generated. People lack the strength and flexibility to keep themselves in good alignment and strong enough to do everyday tasks. It's a fitness problem.
Then there's the 'incident' where the personally-generated musculo-skeletal dysfunction gets turned into a work-related injury.
You don't have a leg to stand on because you haven't measured the risk or done anything about it. You've got this feeling at the back of your mind that work shouldn't be taking all the blame for what's happened and not should it be paying for all the rehab and lost time.
You're at your wit's end as to what to do.
Then your injured staff member gets on the medical and therapeutic merry-go-round, and the momentum is such that you can't get them off again. You feel powerless knowing that if this person played for the Adelaide Crows they'd be doing 24/7 rehab and moving heaven and earth to get back to work in a few weeks. Instead you know they're lolling around on the couch at home eating Delta Cremes, watching Days of Our Lives and going to the physio twice a week.
Whilst it's out of your hands, you know you can't solve a fitness problem with a medical solution. When tight and weak muscles allow the body to move out of alignment even the slightest exertion can tip people over the edge.
So what can you do about it?
Well one of the things you can do is check out just how liable your organisation is. You can do that by signing up your injured staff for an online musculo-skeletal diagnosis.
Call it a second opinion.
All you have to do is send me a set of photos of people in various exercise poses and I'll provide you with my interpretation of the underlying cause of the problem.
One thing I've noticed is that often therapists don't check to see what the underlying cause of the problem is. It's not the sort of thing the either a good motor or body mechanic would do.
They get stuck into rubbing, heating, crunching and vibrating the spot where it hurts instead of treating the under lying cause of the problem. It doesn't make good sense to me.
In my experience it is often tight hamstring, buttock and hip flexor muscles that take the pelvis out of alignment. When that happens the vertebrae immediately above it get drawn out of alignment to the point where ligaments, tendons and muscles are stretched beyond their pain threshold. The 'incident' just makes is a bit worse and bad enough to fill in a claim form.
With the online diagnostic service I can help you identify the under lying cause of the problem.
Then, using the Fix Back Pain ebooks I'll prescribe and teach your staff members the exercises they need to do to loosen, strengthen and straighten themselves up. The stronger and straighter they are, the less pain they'll have.
SPECIAL OFFER
So the special offer is for you to check out the diagnostic page at
http://www.globalbackcare.com/back-pain-diagnosis/index.html
Sign up for a Diagnostic Appraisal for one of your staff (or for yourself) and get all the books in the Fix Back Pain series for $47us.
The diagnostic process involves you sending me photos of people in a range of exercise postures. From that I'll be able to provide you with a fair idea of the underlying cause of the problem and send you the exercise prescription.
Getting the photos organised can be a bit of a rigmarole, but it should take less than an hour.
So there it is, for two days, ebooks and diagnostic appraisal - all for $47us.
Offer ends midnight Friday June 24th.
