Don Ardell, wellness pioneer from the Wellness Institute sent this one to me.

Click here to view his finely crafted article on corporate wellness. It could save you a lot of time and effort in establishing a rationale for getting a modern, comprehensive and systematic wellness program going in your organisation, and successfully selling the concept to the powers that be.

THE FIRST LAW OF MANAGEMENT

- manage yourself -

One sure fire way to sell the wellness concept in your organisation is to invite me to spend a day with your senior management team taking them through the First Law Management - manage yourself. In this day and age, managing your Self is a critical skill - especially for managers. A day spent working on themselves  gives managers an appreciation of what 'managing your Self' means for all the staff in the organisation.

In Canberra I run this program, at the Australian Institute of Sport. In fact I'm running one there tomorrow. Interstate I run it in conference venues or wherever people want me to run it.

If you're serious about managing the risk of absenteeism, presenteeism, workers compensation and employee retention this one day program is a great way to fire your staff up and get the wellness ball rolling. The read more about the program, click here.

WELLNESS COUNCIL OF AMERICA

An excellent site for practical advice about corporate wellness programs can be found on the Wellness Council of America site.

The stuff here will really save you from re-inventing the wheel.

In the mean time stay tuned, highly tuned and remember that not many bodies stayed in motion sitting on a chair.
