Miller Health is a

member of the

The CrookBack Clinic is a musculo-skeletal health, fitness and wellbeing program designed to

¡

help your staff identify the cause of their musculo-skeletal dysfunction

¡

teach them the exercises they need to do to restore poor function to good - or stop the dysfunction from happening in the first place

¡

Fire up your staff to do 10 minutes of strength and flexibility exercises each day - and to introduce this system to your organisation

¡

audit the personal and organisational risk of musculo-skeletal dysfunction and assist your organisation to erect a firewall between the personally generated dysfunctions and the genuine work-related injuries.

OBLIGATION

It is my firm belief that this is a program for all staff - the risk is so high.

Ideally you can get sections to do it so the manager or supervisor can get a feel for the enormity of the problem and shoulder some of the responsibility for managing it.

SESSIONS

I can conduct 4 sessions per day - starting at 7.30 am. Each session takes 2 hours.

If the area is large enough I can handle 25 - 30 people at a time

20 - 25 is ideal so I can give more individual attention.

AUDIT REPORT

I take people through the musculo-skeletal risk factor profile so they can get an idea of how weak and tight they are.

I provide you with an audit report, including the scores of each person.

That way you can begin to work with those who are already experiencing pain and those at grave risk of becoming a workers compensation statistic.

If the programs is rolled out section by section you can use the audit report as a management tool to lower the risk.

ONGOING

Based on my experience, participants will willingly agree to take part in a 10 minute stretching and strengthening session each day. However, this will only happen if supervisors are given a key performance indicator (KPI) to drive the program. Ideally they will want to demonstrate that after 6 months their staff are stronger, more flexible and less pained that they were when the program first started.

Rewards and incentives can be built into the program.

Participants in pain and at grave risk will willingly agree to take part in several more intensive sessions each week to get themselves back into better condition. This program can be supervised by someone like yourself. I provide training and accreditation for people to do this work.

THE INVESTMENT

Give me a call and I'll outline my presentation fee schedule.

I get you to run off the seminar booklet and the evaluation form.

The audit report is $2.20 per person.

I supply you the results in graphic format and also pass on the spreadsheet of individual results so you can do the follow-up work.

CONCLUSION - investment versus cost

The aim of the program is to reduce your worker's compensation costs of musculo-skeletal dysfunction by 80%. In essence you're investing a small amount of money up front to save the high cost of worker's compensation arrangements further down the track.

You will be able to track dysfunction and incidents by manager and supervisor and dramatically reduced your costs.

This link also contains a link to my sample HEALTH, FITNESS AND WELLBEING site, designed to guide organisations in the establishment of a comprehensive health, fitness and wellbeing strategy. There is a modest fee for organisations who wish to use this material to save re-inventing the wheel.

The costs of poor musculo-skeletal health are escalating in many of the organisations I work with. Some of them are visible - in workers compensation costs - others are hidden in presenteeism and absenteeism.

I'd welcome the opportunity to work with you in dramatically lowering those costs.

THE ADVERT

THE CROOKBACK CLINIC

Join John Miller for this inspiring and motivating  2 hour seminar for people who want to protect themselves from musculo-skeletal dysfunction and/or restore poor function to good function.

The CrookBack Clinic is essential for people who want to improve their musculo-skeletal status. It is a must for people with crook backs, stiff necks, frozen shoulders and sore arms

By attending this seminar you will learn

what are the main causes of back, neck, shoulder and arm dysfunction, in particular RSI and the inappropriately named OOS

how to make the distinction between an injury and a dysfunction - this will impact on who you're going to blame!

the two main principles underscoring successful musculo-skeletal rehab

how to measure the risk of getting a crook back, stiff neck, sore shoulders and painful arms

how to protect and/or rehabilitate yourself from back, neck, shoulder, wrist, hip and knee dysfunction using the CrookBack conditioning program

how Formula One Rehabilitation speeds up the rehabilitation process

how to protect yourself with a good ergonomic set-up at work and at home

why the rub down, crunch, hot wheat bag, electric shock and a Celebrex tablet are unsatisfactory treatments

that taking pain-killing and anti-inflammatory tablets which mask the symptoms of dysfunction are poor substitutes for the exercises you need to do to get yourself back into alignment

how to detect whether the treatment you've been prescribed is the right treatment

how posture affects how you feel and vice versa

MOST IMPORTANTLY, you'll learn some of the key exercises you need to do on a regular and systematic basis to get yourself back in alignment. Do that and you'll feel better.

In the post junk-medical age it's 'patient heal thyself'. By the end of the seminar you'll be in a good position to know what to do to get yourself back into good shape. You don't need a PhD in rocket, medical or pharmaceutical science. There's no smoke, no mirrors; no lotions, potions, pills or powders; no syrups, strappings or surgery; no crunches, rub downs or electric shocks; no money - just you finding a bit of time each week to do the exercises which will get your body strong, flexible and back into better alignment.

You'll be glad you came.

You'll receive an interactive work book.

Bring your reading glasses and a pen. Wear slacks. (Don't wear jeans and don't even think of coming in a frock.)
