CAVEAT EMPTOR

Be aware that the information written in fact sheets is based on selective evidence.

For a start, modern pharmaceutical medicine ignores some of the great and ancient traditions of health management. New research debunks old research.

All evidence is filtered through the eyes of both the writer and the reader.

Researchers and writers are frequently selective in the sources they use and frequently display ignorance of the health practices of other cultures.

I'm just as guilty as anyone else - I'm neither omnipotent or all knowing, so be circumspect in the advice I give.

So, you, the reader has to make up your own mind as to whether the facts outlined in these fact sheets rings true for you or not.

The best advice I can give is for you to keep an open mind and experiment with things that you think are likely to help you become fitter and healthier. If an experiment with, say a new exercise or different foods works it works, if it doesn't try something else. Keep looking.

be wary of information from all sources, but particularly from people whose heads have been turned and palms greased by the pharmaceutical industry.

It’s a tough assignment keeping yourself healthy without

  • keeping yourself fit

  • making sure your diet is giving your body all the essential nutrients it needs

  • meditating

  • managing the stress of your life

  • having a job you love doing.

However, if you look after yourself the benefits are enormous, both for you and for your community. All it takes is a bit of time, effort, money and thought.

These fact sheets will provide you with information to inspire and motivate you to stay fit and healthy.

Please feel free to e-mail me for advice on particular health or fitness issues and I’ll do my best to point you in the right direction. Any advice I provide comes with the proviso that it may or may not work and on the understanding that you are responsible for the consequences, should you choose to act on the advice you receive.
